Sweet Lil

Was out for a short vacation and when am back let's get on with some sweet little things to start on with.

A pretty cushion done to adorn little Akanksha's room.

The colors and polka edging suit a 'tenagers' choice because they are no longer fond of 'baby' pink and the cupcake and lollies bring in the girlie feel.

Love this cushion personally.

Flowers n Flutters

Yeah that's a fine title for our new theme for the darling daughters.

It's in pink with flowers and butterflies, what more our girls could ask for!!

Wanted to add those smiles to our little creatures to get them talking to you, don't they make you smile once atleast.
I am sure it's gonna make your kiddo have lovely time and a blissful sleep with their garden friends.

It's a fun project!!!

Decorating your kids room can be one of the most fun home decorating projects you’ll find.
Kids room decor should be about imagination and creativity; the sky … or the jungle, a castle, the sea or any of a hundred other realms of imagination … really is the limit!

Try to get your child involved in the project as much as possible, letting them help steer your selection of a theme, colors and design elements.

Picking up a theme

What are your child’s interests? Well ofcourse they would be crazy for Ben 10 or Bheem but actually they are here for few days and then a new star character becomes their favorite.
So you should preferably go in for themes that will last a little longer like sports, numbers, cars, princess, etc.
Deciding on a good theme for your kids’ room will also help direct your choice of colors, patterns and decorating elements.
Always remember safety is an important part of any kids’ room decor. If you child is a restless sleeper, bunk beds may not be the best choice. Never use decorating elements that could cause your child to choke or sustain injuries.

Color choice

Color forms the main backdrop of your project,A good wall art enhances the whole story of room.
The linen you choose adds to the room in two ways ,firstly it is in direct contact with the child so makes him feel the theme ,enjoy it and get cozy with it because afterall he has to sleep there.
Secondly it is the flexible item of the room which you change each week maybe,so there is scope for variety and experimentation.

Decor

Don't forget to add an area of display in the room which exhibits your child's creation---drawings,doodles,cuttings,DIY crafts, medals what so ever, just put it on view,it will make him feel like the star of the house.
A small bookshelf or wall caddy to put story books is also a great idea,it enhances the wonderful habit of reading.

Creating a focal point
Usually bed forms the focal point of the room, but you may also make a wall mural or display shelf as the display for the chosen theme like hearts, flowers and dolls in pinks, purples and greens which work well in most girls’ room color schemes, while red, yellow or blue tend to work well in a boy’s room.
It is imperative to include your child's likings and a touch of his personality in the room.

So go on have a Happy Decorating Time.
